Paula Walker has over 20 years experience in clinical trials compliance and governance, she is committed to ensuring that patients remain at the centre of every decision, with quality serving as an enabler for bringing new medicines to patients faster and safer.
At Roche, as the Global Head of Risk Based Quality Management (RBQM), Paula established and lead the RBQM Centre of Excellence group, focusing on strategic implementation of the RBQM framework across our clinical trials enterprise-wide, from early through to late phase.
Previously, she led and contributed to significant regulatory and compliance advancements, including my role as Head of Compliance at the MHRA, overseeing GCP, GPvP, and GLP inspection teams, and Head of GxP Inspectorate during the pandemic, as well as 14 years as a GCP inspector.
Paula continues to collaborate with industry stakeholders, regulatory bodies, and cross-industry initiatives like the IMPALA consortium to enhance transparency, build trust, and leverage data analytics for quality improvement in clinical research.
